February 8, 1925 
Messiah Lutheran Church is Formed-Constitution Adopted

The first service was conducted on October 26, 1924 in the community hall on Addison Street by Rev. Theo. L. Blanken.   A few months later on Feb. 8, 1925 the present congregation was formed and a constitution adopted.  A call was extended to Rev. Blanken as our first pastor.

March 18, 1962
Dedication of Messiah Lutheran Educational Building

Our new school building was dedicated on this date.  It was constructed on the space once occupied by the original church/school building.  This new 2 story building with an additional basement level, contained 6 classrooms, a kindergarten room,  a dedicated library, school office, modern kitchen, and a full gymnasium.

40th Anniversary

In 1965, the congregation had grown to include 1600 baptized members and 1100 communicant members and celebrated 4o years of ministry in fine fashion.   Read more about the 40th anniversary year by clicking the button.
